The University of Iowa Symphony Orchestra

A free will donation will be taken at the door.

The performance will be by the University of Iowa Symphony Orchestra, directed by Dr. William LaRue Jones and made up of 80 undergraduate and graduate student musicians from the University of Iowa. UISO has been hailed as one of the finest university orchestras in the U.S. In addition, this organization is one of the leaders
in the premiering and promoting of new literature. This concert will feature selections from Bernstein/Mason “West Side Story”, Tchaikovsky “Romeo and Juliet” and Shostakovich “Piano Concerto No. 2” with Ksenia Nosikova, UI professor in piano (more information can be found here: https://music.uiowa.edu/people/ksenia-nosikova
