2019 Autumn Home Tour & Tea

Experience the Revival of Red Oak Iowa

The Autumn Home Tour & Tea takes you through a select few of the beautiful architectural wonders our community treasures underneath our canopy. This opportunity is delightful for those who appreciate history, architecture, beauty, and an experience. The community of Red Oak comes alive this third weekend of September to not only showcase our heritage homes, but we also showcase our talented local artists at the Southwest Iowa Art Tour in Downtown Red Oak. If you’re not from around Red Oak, come experience the much sought after easy going way-of-life we cherish here in the Heart of Southwest Iowa.

Single Tickets – $15/each

Double Packs – $25 for two tickets

Tickets are available for purchase online (scroll to the bottom of this page), at the Red Oak Chamber and Industry Association office, or at the Wilson Performing Arts Center the day of the event.

Your ticket provides you the following:

  • Access to the 2019 Autumn Home Tour from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
  • Refreshments before, during, or after the Autumn Home Tour at the Wilson Performing Arts Center
  • One downtown horse-drawn carriage ride
  • A coupon sheet filled with great deals from various Red Oak retailers

Tea & Refreshments:

Local caterers will provide finger foods and refreshments for your enjoyment at the Wilson Performing Arts Center, located on 300 Commerce Drive, Red Oak, Iowa just off of Highway 34. Please show your Autumn Home Tour ticket upon entry, and refreshments will be available for you from Noon to 5:00 PM. Local glass artwork will also be on display in the front lobby for you to view.

Horse Drawn Carriage Rides:

Carriage rides will begin on the west side of Historic Fountain Square Park in Downtown Red Oak. Rides will be available from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Show your Autumn Home Tour ticket to the coachman to redeem your one free ride around Historic Downtown Red Oak. For those without a ticket to the Autumn Home Tour & Tea, carriage rides are available $5 per person.

Fall Open Houses:

Various Red Oak businesses will be hosting their fall open houses this weekend. When you visit your first home on the tour, you will receive a coupon sheet with great deals going on throughout the community!

Southwest Iowa Art Tour:

An added bonus to this weekend is the Southwest Iowa Art Tour. Please stop by Five One 8 in downtown Red Oak, located at 518 North 4th Street, to check out local artists and their work on display the follow days:

Red Oak Farmers Market:

The Red Oak Farmers Market will be going on in Historic Fountain Square Park in Downtown Red Oak from 9:00 AM to Noon on Saturday morning.
