The Montgomery County History Center invites you to come learn about the history and character of our county and its people. Our History Center offers permanent and changing historical exhibits, a historical & genealogical research library, an extensive collection of artifacts, and four meeting areas available for rental. Four preserved historic structures are open to visitors.

Our hours are 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tuesday thru Sunday (or call to schedule a visit).
Admission is free.

The Red Oak Farmers Market is an open-air market in historic downtown Red Oak’s Fountain Square Park. Vendors offer farm-fresh, naturally grown vegetables, fruits, honey and honey products, homemade baked goods, preserves and hand-crafted items. The Market season runs from mid-May through mid-October each year. Markets are held each Thursday, 4 – 6 pm, rain or shine.

Additionally, the Red Oak Farmers Market partners with the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital to hold markets, June through August, on alternating Tuesdays, 10 am – 1 pm. These markets are open to the public and hospital employees.

Most vendors accept WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers.
